Anche questa novella è scritta con un’attenzione particolare alle emozioni, alla tenerezza, il desiderio di protezione dell’eroe verso la donna che desidera.
Aislinn ha il dono della vista, un passato di violenza, umiliazioni e maltrattamenti subiti dal suo ex che non smette di perseguitarla, e che la obbliga a vivere come una nomade, a non fermarsi per più di sei mesi in un posto. Quando Kyle la vede per la prima volta e la assume nella sua azienda, prova immediatamente attrazione, decide che Aislinn deve essere sua, ma quando, dopo aver fatto fare indagini sul suo passato, scopre quello che ha vissuto, fa marcia indietro, perchè non vuole farle del male.
Sono passati cinque mesi, e sa che se non farà presto qualcosa, lei finirà con l’andarsene. Vincere le paure, superare le ferite che l’ex marito le ha lasciato, non è facile, ed è molto bello vedere come Kyle riesce a “curarla”, a farla sentire di nuovo donna, a farla sentire amata.
